About Me

Biography

My full name is Danilo Quddus Stern-Sapad (Etymology: Danilo is a Latin cognate for Daniel meaning "God is my judge," Quddus is Arabic for holy or pure, Stern is German for star, and Sapad is a province in the Philippines). I was born on January 12, 1987 in Culver City, California. I am currently pursuing my Bachelor of Science in Interactive Media Design (Multimedia & Web Design) at The Art Institute of California - San Francisco (AICA-SF) and work part time as a Web Developer for Justia.com. I lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico for most of my life, though I have also lived in Philippines as well as Los Angeles, California in the past. I have a good sense of humor, and a positive outlook on life. I am one-half Filipino, one-fourth Polish, and one-fourth Russian. My mother, Nancy Stern, comes from a Jewish background and my father, Nelson Sapad, a Catholic one. I have two younger siblings, my brother, Zalman, is six years younger than me and my sister, Basilisa, is fourteen years younger. I can speak Tagalog (the national language of the Philippines) fluently and have visited many Asian countries. I love being a member of the Bahá'í­ Faith (www.bahai.org) and aiding in charitable endeavors. I hope to someday make a livable wage from one of my web sites, publish a speculative fiction novel, and marry a kind, loving wife who will support me in my aspirations.

Abruptly, she lifted the Staff of Law, held it horizontally before her like a weapon. "Amok," she commanded, "place your hands upon the Staff."

The youth looked without flinching into the authority of her face. Slowly, he obeyed. His hands rested lightly between hers on the rune-carved wood.
